But if green­backs are not that of an argu­ment then going plasma will give you the best out­put re both bril­liant colours and deep blacks, watch out though these beau­ties not only have high pur­chase costs, they come with higher oper­a­tional costs as they do con­sume more power than their LCD cousins.
If size is what mat­ters for you but the bud­get is forc­ing you to recon­sider, then rear-projection HDTV TVs will be the solu­tion. The down­side of this sort though is they truly come in large sizes not only in width-wise but depth-wise as well.
If how­ever the pock­ets you own seem like bot­tom­less pits and piz­zazz is what you essen­tially need, then get a front-projection HDTV which doesn’t actu­ally qual­ify as a tele­vi­sion as the set involves a screen which could be a sheet of white fab­ric hang­ing on your wall, your wall itself, or a spe­cially designed and ded­i­cated screen and a pro­jec­tor which come in a few types as well.
Despite the numer­ous con­sid­er­a­tions though, I kept hav­ing to buy one. And yes, the headaches were and is very much worth it.
